Enabling consistent, high-quality data across diverse programming

Project Summary
New Growth is leading performance reporting and technical assistance for Ohio’s statewide Good Jobs Challenge grant, administered by the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association (OMA) and funded by the Economic Development Administration. This complex, multi-partner initiative spans 16 Industry Sector Partnerships (ISPs) and engages more than 100 training providers, ranging from high schools and community-based organizations to community colleges and four-year institutions, delivering entry-level earn-and-learn and Upskilling programs statewide. New Growth supports the full performance reporting infrastructure for the grant, providing hands-on, individualized data collection support through live data reporting webinars, training manuals and guidance documents, and ongoing phone and email technical assistance tailored to providers’ varying data needs.
Outcome
This multi-layered approach enables consistent, high-quality data across diverse programming while remaining responsive to local implementation realities. With six months remaining in the grant period, Ohio has already exceeded multiple performance targets, including placing more than 3,500 individuals into good jobs. Building on these successes, New Growth was invited to present on a panel focused on data-driven approaches to driving impact, sharing lessons learned from coordinating performance reporting and data collection across a large, statewide ecosystem. Together, these results demonstrate how strong data systems—paired with accessible, on-going technical assistance—can drive accountability, learning, and impact at scale.
